Sam Reid founded the Reid Furniture Company in 1970. Initially the company only dealt with trade and didn't retail any of its own products. It was soon realised that the business could be run more profitably and efficiently if it cut out the middle man and retailed directly with the customer, giving customers exactly what they want, at a competitive price.
Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength. Reid is now Scotland and Ireland's largest manufacturer and one of the country's most successful retailers of upholstered furniture.
The company has grown in leaps and bounds, but still takes great pride in the fact that the furniture is designed and manufactured to the highest possible standards with individually tailored, bespoke designs giving customers the ultimate in choice, while proving to be excellent value for money.
