Delivery times
When you place your order, you will be given an estimated delivery time. When your order arrives at our distribution centre, we will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient delivery date. In cases where deliveries will be made to you directly from a supplier, you will be contacted by our supplier to arrange the delivery date.
As we are unable to store products for any length of time you will be required to take the product as soon as it is available, unless your product arrives early, in which case you may choose to wait until the estimated delivery time quoted at point of order.
If you would like your order to be delivered later than the estimated lead time, please state this when prompted with the not before date option during the online order process, or by informing the salesperson if placing your order in store.
Receiving your delivery
When your furniture is delivered, we will do our best to take it to the room of your choice and place them in the desired location, provided there is reasonable access.
We will then remove the packaging so that you can inspect your new furniture. This is particularly important as you will be asked to sign for receiving the goods in perfect condition.
Note: Products that require self assembly will not be unwrapped.
Access
Please be aware that it is your responsibility to ensure there is sufficient access to deliver the product into you home and into your chosen location. You should consider vehicle access, lifts and tight stairs etc. If windows or doors need to be removed in order for access to be gained it is your responsibility to arrange this at your cost and risk. If you are unsure about access to or within your property, please visit your nearest store and discuss this with a salesperson to avoid disappointment.
Split deliveries
On some occasions, we may need to make more than one delivery to you to ensure certain products are delivered on specialist transport. Where this is necessary you will not be charged for the additional delivery.

Storage
Unfortunately we do not have the facility to store your product for any length of time therefore if you cannot take the product within two weeks of us advising you of its availability, we will charge storage charges of £25 per week for a maximum of four weeks, after which we deem the order to be cancelled.
Where the product is a standard stocked line, the stock will be returned to free stock, which means that it will be made available to other customers. In this case we cannot guarantee immediate product availability when you are ready to take the order.
This will not apply where a product is available earlier than the lead time indicated or where you have specifically stipulated by a 'Not before by date' at the point of order, as printed on your order.
Returns
Amending or cancelling your order WITHIN 7 days of placing your order (online only)
We promise to give you a full refund if you change your mind for any reason within 7 days of placing your order online with us. After this date we will have in most cases a binding contract with our suppliers to supply or make your product.
Measuring up
An important factor in your buying decision is how your furniture is going to fit within your home. It is important to ensure that not only will it fit within your room, but also that it will be able to fit within the house access points to your house. Whilst some dining furniture requires self-assembly, some ranges will arrive at your door fully assembled. Below are some tips to ensure you pick the product that is right for you, and your home.
Getting started
When you furnish any room, always start by considering the largest piece of furniture for example, the sofa in your living room, dining table in your dining room etc. Where this piece fits will affect everything around it.
Your furniture should be arranged to look good to you - you're the one who'll be living with it after all. Furniture should also be comfortable to use and easy to walk around. Be aware of any doors or cupboards that you need to frequently use, a good idea is to either use masking tape to mimic the size of your furniture or compare the measurements against your current furniture.
Furniture dimensions
All of our furniture dimensions are listed the same way, using HEIGHT (H) x WIDTH (W) x DEPTH (D). All products are listed in centimeters unless otherwise noted. The diagram shows how these dimensions relate to our sofas. Incorporated into our product sizes are soft filled covers, these will always vary in sizes from 2.5cm - 5cm. Measurements will always be taken from the widest point on all parts of the furniture.
How to Measure Up
Below are some tips to help you with choosing furniture that fits perfectly in the space that you have avialable. If you find yourself confused or looking for some assistance, our sales advisors are always happy to help on the phone - 0844 848 7944.
Top 5 tips to getting the right furniture for you!
- Decide exactly where you would like to place your furniture.
- Measure the area where you want to place your furniture.
- Sketch a rough plan including dimensions.
- Note the width, height, and depth of the model you want to order, do allow a few inches for tolerance.
- You should now be able to see whether or not the furniture will fit within your living space.
Getting Through Your Access Points
- Ensure all widths and diagonal depths of your new furniture measures less than the dimensions of your homes entry points e.g. doors, side gates, hallways and stairways etc.
- If your existing furniture came in easily, compare the measurements with the model you want to replace it with.
- The diagonal height should be less than the entryway you are planning to use.
- Measure width and height of all doorways, hallways, and stairways, remembering to take into account unmovable objects such as banisters and turns.
- Remember obstacles such as radiators, and lights on walls and ceilings.
Homes with limited access points
Not all of Reid furniture will arrive in its fully completed format, so if your home has limited access, then there will be some ranges that can be built in situ. Some sofas come in 2 or even 3 parts and the same for dining table and chair sets. This will be noted in the bullet point list next to the product image.
Note - This serves only as a guide and doesn't guarantee furniture will fit. Please consider all access points from our delivery truck to the room of your choice. Also please do let us know if you foresee any problems with our delivery vehicles getting down your street.
